We may also use your information internally to help us improve our services and help resolve any problems.

What if you don’t provide some information to us?

If you don’t provide us with full information, we can’t properly advise or assist you with your credit needs.

You can also suspend and save online applications, so you can complete and send the applications later. If you suspend or save your application, the information that you have entered will be retained in our systems so that you may recover the information when you resume your application. Online applications that have been suspended or saved may be viewed by us.

Will we disclose the information we collect to anyone?

We may need to provide your information to our credit licensee e.g. for administration and supervision activities, contractors who supply services to us e.g. to handle mailings on our behalf, or to other companies in the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganisation, dissolution, or similar event. However, we will do our best to ensure that they protect your information in the same way that we do.

We may also provide your information to others if we are required to do so by law or under some unusual other circumstances which the Privacy Act permits.

Disclosure of personal information overseas

We may hold or process your information on servers located overseas for filtering, hosting or storage purposes, reporting and analytical purposes and for system development testing purposes. If we do this, we make sure that such organizations’ have the appropriate data handling and security arrangements in place to ensure compliance with this Privacy Policy. Before we disclose any of your personal information to any other organization, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that:

The organization has the same commitment as us to the protection of your personal information; AND You have consented to us doing so.
Third party applications, such as Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, may be available from our website. The providers of those third-party applications may collect personal information from you. Their collection of information is bound by their own information collection policies and practices. Your interactions with third party applications from our website may result in your information being shared with others within your social network. We are not responsible for the collection and use of your information by third parties because of your use of third party applications.

Our website may, at times, contain links to other third-party websites. Any access too and use of such link-websites is not governed by this Policy, it is governed by the privacy policies of those third-party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of third party websites

How can you check, update, or change the information we are holding?

Upon receipt of your written request and enough information to allow us to identify the information, we will disclose to you the personal information we hold about you. We will also correct, amend, or delete any personal information that we agree is inaccurate.
